The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking for an outfielder to add with George Springer and Daulton Varsho which is starting to look like Luis Robert Jr might be that guy as rumors have been going on about a trade with the Chicago White Sox.

The Blue Jays need not only an outfielder but a player than can also help them offensively at the plate so if they can find someone that can help in both departments, they will definitely benefit.

The Blue Jays need to find some help in the outfield and at the plate for the 2025 season which is why a trade with the Chicago White Sox for Luis Robert Jr could make sense.
According to reports, the Blue Jays are very interested in trading for Robert as he would be a great fit for Toronto as he is young, affordable and could end up having a massive upside.
The next and likely final option for the Blue Jays is Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. Robert makes a lot of sense for the Blue Jays because he's young, affordable, and has enough potential to slug 40 home runs and steal 40 bases in a season. -Pressnell

Robert is coming off a disappointing season in 2024 as he missed over 50 games due to injuries and in the 100 that he did play he struggled offensively hitting only 14 homeruns and 35 RBIs with a .224 batting average.
Despite having a rough year in 2024, Robert was incredible for the White Sox in 2023 as he was voted an all-star and finished the season with 38 homeruns and 80 RBIs.
It would cost the Blue Jays quite a bit of prospect capital to acquire the star outfielder, but he smashed 38 home runs and 36 doubles in 2023, so it would be worth it. -Pressnell

A trade for Robert would likely cost the Blue Jays quite a few prospects but could end up being worth it if he finds his offense once again.
While this move does involved some risk, it could also be a huge plus for the Blue Jays if it works out.
