The Toronto Blue Jays missed out on Pete Alonso last night and have pivoted right away back towards Alex Bregman as he is still available.
The Blue Jays have put in a six year offer to Alex Bregman according to MLB insider Hector Gomes
Bregman has been getting a ton of interest in the past few weeks and the Chicago Cubs even made him a four year offer worth more than $100 million but it looks like he is still seeking a 5-6 year deal.
Sources have confirmed that the Cubs have offered Alex Bregman a four-year contract, with opt-outs, worth north of $100 million

Free agent third baseman Alex Bregman still has no interest in a short-term contract and seeks a 6- or 7-year deal.
According to MLB insider Hector Gomes, the Blue Jays have put in a six year offer to Bregman despite the total of the contract having yet to be announced which means they have the largest offer on the board as of right now.
The #BlueJays have a 6-years offer out to Alex Bregman.
Despite the Blue Jays having the biggest offer on the table, that does not necessarily mean he is coming to Toronto as fans saw with Alonso who took a smaller deal to return to New York.
Hopefully Ross Atkins can figure out a way to persuade him to come as he is their last hope in landing another all-star this off-season.
