The Toronto Blue Jays announced late last night that they signed international free agent catcher Carlos Guzman to a new contract.
The Blue Jays ended up missing out on a superstar prospect Roki Sasaki this off-season which left them with a ton of international free agent pool money which they decided to
use on over 20 international free agents.

The Blue Jays announced late last night that they have finally agreed to a contract with 17 year old international free agent catcher Carlos Guzman.
Guzman earned the deal with the Blue Jays by being a standout in the Mexican League as well as impressing scouts in a number of international tournaments.

Blue Jays' officially sign Carlos Garcia Guzman.
Signing Guzman is a smart deal for the Blue Jays as they do not have a ton of depth at the catcher position in their organization as of right now and have had proof of their farm system being solid at developing catchers as they did with
Jansen.
While Guzman is only 17 years old and farm away from playing in the major leagues, he has the potential to end up being a solid MLB catcher if he continues to develop the right way.
After making a ton of international signings this off-season, it will be interesting to see how some of these young players end up doing throughout their career, especially when looking at prospects such as Cristopher Polanco.
