The Toronto Blue Jays made a lot of moves this off-season but their lineup is far from made as many believes some big changes will happen like Ernie Clement losing his full time starting spot at third base.

The Blue Jays have had a strange off-season as their has been a ton of hope with big time signings but unfortunately the Blue Jays have fallen short on almost all those negotiations except with Anthony Santander.

Blue Jays Ernie Clement might end up losing full-time starter spot as Will Wagner has a good chance of playing third base

Clement is coming off his first full season in the MLB in which he was great defensively earning as he was named a Gold Glove finalist but he did struggle at times at the plate finishing with 12 homeruns and 51 RBIs.
Will Wagner on the other hand showed up late in the season after being acquired from the Astros but proved to be a promising hitter finishing with a .305 batting average and .337 on base percentage.
In four seasons in the minors, Wagner has produced a .297/.402/.441 slash line which translated to him recording a .788 OPS in 24 games with the Blue Jays last season before he suffered a season-ending knee injury. -Sookram

Reports suggest that Wagner could end up getting a lot of playing time at third base which means that Clement will be losing his full-time role at third base as the position will probably be shared between the two players next season.
Clement managed the hot corner for the Blue Jays last year and hit .263/.284./.408 in 139 games last season. With Wagner hitting from the left side and Clement from the right, we could see this duo form a true platoon at third base, something we haven't seen in Toronto since the mid-80's with the formidable Rance Mulliniks and Garth Iorg, one of the best third base combos in MLB history. -Sookram

Wagner should get plenty of reps at third base in spring. -Sookram

If the Blue Jays end up using both players at third base, it will be interesting to see who ends up helping the Blue Jays win the most when playing third base.
