The Toronto Blue Jays negotiations with Vladimir Guerrero Jr have been cutting in extremely close to the negotiations deadline but according to a few sources, a deal should be getting done very soon.

The Blue Jays have been apparently putting together a final offer for Guerrero but there has been no report of the offer being made just yet as they still might be finalizing the details.

The Blue Jays are apparently looking to make one last push for Vladimir Guerrero Jr

The Blue Jays are not officially out on Pete Alonso as he signed with the New York Mets which makes their main focus landing Guerrero for the remainder of the off-season and it looks like a deal might get done.
According to MLB insider Steve Phillips, he stated on the MLB Network yesterday that the Blue Jays did not go above and beyond from Alonso because he believes they are preparing a big offer of around $450 million for Guerrero.

Signing Guerrero to a long term extension is the only way the Blue Jays end up having a decent off-season overall because if they miss out on him, the 2025 season will likely be another disappointment.
While Phillips is confident a deal will get done, Jon Heyman on the other hand confirmed that they will likely make him a $450 million offer but does not believe that Guerrero will end up taking the offer.
"Vlad's on the Jays right now, he's a Canadian citizen," Heyman said. "They're giving it a shot and are trying to sign him.

They are hoping for the best. Now, one year to go with a superstar player, it's probably not that likely now but the number that is getting thrown around now is over $400 million.

He's a Canadian citizen and he grew up there. I've heard rumblings that it's not that likely, but I don't know...If they get to $450 million, I'm there, I'm taking it if I'm Vlad Guerrero." -Heyman

Hopefully Phillips is right and the Blue Jays can lock down Guerrero for the rest of his career but they need to hurry up as the clock is running.
