Blockbuster trade offer between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays has been announced

The Toronto Blue Jays could apparently be interested in a trade with the New York Yankees which would bring pitcher Marcus Stroman back to Toronto.
The Blue Jays are without a doubt in need of a starting pitcher to help their rotation and while most are hoping they could get a deal done with free agent Jack Flaherty, they need to look at other possible options as well.

The Blue Jays had a great experience with Marcus Stroman for many years before they traded him to the New York Mets back in July of 2019 in exchange for a few prospects.
With that in mind, Drew VonScio of Newsweek proposed a trade between the Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays, Stroman's former team.

This is an interesting trade as the Blue Jays could bring back a fan favorite pitcher without having to give up too much and while last season did not go great for Stroman, he was an all-star for the Chicago Cubs in 2023.
Stroman does however come at a cost since he still has $37 million remaining on his contract which is a lot of money if he plays like he did in 2024 with an ERA above 4.00.
The Yankees reportedly are trying to find a trade suitor for Stroman and the remainder of his $37 million contract, which includes $18.5 million in 2025 and a vesting option for 2026 if he hits 140 innings. -Hickey
In an ideal world, the Blue Jays will be able to get a deal done in which the Yankees also give them some money to cover Stroman's contract for 2025.
