TSN announces promising update regarding free agent Jack Flaherty and the Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking to their to sign a starting pitcher to add to their rotation and TSN announced that free agent Jack Flaherty is becoming a real possibility.
The Blue Jays seem to have made adding a starting pitcher this off-season as one of their top priorities even though they have missed out on all their targets so far such as Corbin Burnes and Max Fried.

As the majority of the top pitchers that were available heading into the off-season have now signed, Flaherty is by far the top pitcher remaining on the market in which the Blue Jays seem to be very interested.
TSN posted this morning that MLB insider Mark Feinsand believes the Blue Jays are among the top teams interested in landing Flaherty and that there is a solid chance a deal could get done.

While the Blue Jays do have a chance at signing Flaherty, they are not the only team interested as the Baltimore Orioles, San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs and Detroit Tigers are also interested.
Feinsand lists the Blue Jays among five teams that ''remain in the mix'' for the right-hander, alongside the Baltimore Orioles, San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, and Tigers. -TSN
Flaherty is coming off an unbelievable season in 2024 in which he split between the Tigers and Dodgers, finishing with a 3.17 ERA and 194 strikeouts which was topped off with a World Series win.
Flaherty, 29, is coming off of a bounce-back 2024 season that saw him post a 3.17 ERA with 194 strikeouts in 160.1 innings split between the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers. -TSN
The Blue Jays starting rotation could see a massive benefit from adding Flaherty if they could outbid the other teams interested.
