Former Toronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano was non-tendered a few weeks ago and has now agreed to a one year contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Romano was non-tendered by the Blue Jays in November after dealing with an injury for most of the 2024 season and became a free agent in which he had interests from multiple teams.
MLB insider Jeff Passan just announced that the Philadelphia Phillies and former Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano have agreed to a one year contract pending a physical examination.
Closer Jordan Romano and the Philadelphia Phillies are in agreement on a free agent contract, pending physical, sources tell ESPN. Romano, 31, was nontendered by Toronto earlier this offseason and joins a Phillies bullpen that lost Jeff Hoffman and Carlos Estevez to free agency.

The Phillies are close to a one-year deal with Jordan Romano, sources tell me and

. The deal is still pending physical.
The amount of the contract has yet to be announced and it will only officially be signed once Romano passes a physical but Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins stated last week that there is no concerns with Romano health.
It will be interesting to see how much Romano ended signing for and if it ends up being more than $7.75 million since that is the amount that the Blue Jays decided to walk away from at the non-tender deadline.
Those Phillies fans and Romano seem like a match made in heaven if he's pitching well
