Chantal Kreviazuk taking serious heat after disrespecting the Canadian National anthem in 4Nations final

The 4Nations finals took place last night at TD Garden in Boston last night between Canada and USA but a big story is coming from before the puck drop as anthem signer Chantal Kreviazuk changed the lyrics to "O Canada".
The 4Nations final was one of the most electric hockey games in the last 25 years as it went into overtime when Connor McDavid buried one top corner to win the championship for Canada.

Despite the incredible game fans got to witness last night, many Canadians were upset with anthem singer Chantal Kreviazuk after she decided to change some of the lyrics which many thought was quite disrespectful.
Fans online were all over Kreviazuk stating that it is not up to her to change the lyrics while also adding that many thought she did not do a good job of singing the anthem and representing Canada.
The Canadian National Anthem is not Chantal Kreviazuk's to edit or take creative licence with. It belongs to ALL Canadians. If she didn't wsnt to sing it, she should have refused the offer. Disgusting performance.

According to reports from Global News this morning, the singer apparently decided to change some of the lyrics as a direct response to American President Donald Trump calling Canada the 51st state of the United States.
WATCH: The anthem singer who performed the Canadian anthem prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game Thursday night changed a lyric in «O Canada» as a response to U.S. President Donald Trump's repeated remarks about making the country the 51st state.
Regardless of her intentions, many saw this act as a massive sign of disrespect from the singer towards all Canadians.
