Toronto Blue Jays George Springer gives surprising opinion on the 4Nations final between Canada and USA

Toronto Blue Jays George Springer spoke to the media this afternoon but not about baseball, reporters asked him about the Canada - USA match up at the 4Nations tournament.
The United States and Canada are set to faceoff tomorrow night at TD Garden in Boston for the final or the 4Nations tournament after USA won the first game in the round robin.

Springer met with some reporters after practice today and admitted that he is a big hockey fan and loves the idea of the 4Nations tournament as fans get to see best on best.
During the interview Springer also added that he loved the start of the Canada - USA game which began with three fights in the first 9 seconds which pretty much no one saw coming.
"It means a lot to them, and I have ultimate respect for that."

The first game between the two countries was one of the biggest hockey games of the last 20 years as these two countries had no played each other in a best on best game in 9 years since the 2016 World Cup.
The US ended up winning the first game 3-1 after adding an empty net goal late in the game but now the two teams face off tomorrow night for the final and it looks like everyone, including George Springer will be watching.
Once this game is played tomorrow night, Blue Jays fans can once again get back to focusing on the 2025 season ahead.
While Springer seems to be keeping things light hearted talking about the 4Nations tournament, he has a lot of pressure on him in Spring Training as he is at risk of losing his job as the team's leadoff hitter.
