The Toronto Blue Jays continue to be quiet in the off-season over the last few weeks as the Los Angeles Dodgers add another player in free agent Hyeseong Kim.
The Blue Jays have yet to make any noise this off-season apart from a trade with the Cleveland Guardians that landed them second baseman Andres Gimenez but that was a few weeks ago now.
Blue Jays miss out on Hyeseong Kim as the Dodgers sign him
The story of the off-season in Toronto seems to be about all the free agents they have missed out on instead of all they players they have landed as Hyeseong
Kim now joins that group of another talented player not headed to Toronto.

The Dodgers announced that they have closed a deal with Kim on an incredible three year deal with $12.5 million guaranteed and an option worth $22 million in 2028-29.
Hyeseong Kim has agreed with Dodgers. 3 years, $12.5M guaranteed, option for 2028-29 (picked up together), chance to make $22M
The Blue Jays did not seem to be in the running's for
Kim which is unfortunate since he seems to be an incredible player but the real issue here is that this is one more free agent that the Blue Jays did not even have a chance at signing.
According to reports, Shohei Ohtani played a big part n landing Kim on such a steal of a deal for the Dodgers as he convinced him to take less money to go to Los Angeles which is something the Blue Jays could not even dream of.
According to Korean media reports, Shohei Ohtani met with Hyeseong Kim in Los Angeles and "gave him a lot of advice" during his free agent process.
It appears the Dodgers superstar did some recruiting to land Kim, who took less money and years to join the Dodgers.
As more and more free agents continue to sign contracts, the Blue Jays remain quiet which does not look good for the 2025 season.
