The Toronto Blue Jays Chris Bassitt makes bold comment regarding Andres Gimenez

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Chris Bassitt was one TSN's Overdrive 1050 yesterday and spoke on how the Blue Jays look heading into the 2025 season.
The Blue Jays made a ton of additions this off-season, the most recent being Max Scherzer but they have added other talented players such as Andres Gimenez, Anthony Santander, Jeff Hoffman and many more.

Bassitt was the Overdrive yesterday and spoke on how pumped he is to have Andres Gimenez join the Blue Jays this season and he believes that he is one of the best defensive players in the MLB.
The Blue Jays veteran also added that between Gimenez and outfielder Daulton Varsho, the Blue Jays have the two best defenders in the MLB which he does not think is a stretch at all.

The Blue Jays defense definitely does look very solid heading into the 2025 season, especially with the additions that they made this winter by improving their starting rotation and bullpen as well.
Stating that Gimenez and Varsho are two of the best defenders in baseball is definitely not a stretch as both players have put up incredible numbers in the field over the last two years.
If the Blue Jays can add one or two more pieces, they will certainly be in a great position next year to to finish at the top of the AL East.
Adding one more solid hitter like Alex Bregman or Pete Alonso could really take them over the top.
