The Los Angeles Angels announced yesterday that they agreed to terms with former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Sam Ryan on a minor league deal which includes a major league Spring Training invitation.
In a strategic move that has stirred the baseball world, right-handed pitcher Sam Ryan has embarked on a new chapter in his career by signing a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels. The Blue Jays released Ryan last March from the Vancouver Canadians as he did not play the rest of the 2024 season but he is now getting a second chance with the Angels.
Amidst the backdrop of uncertainty that surrounds any transition, Ryan's move to the Angels represents a fresh start and a realm of new possibilities. Following his release in March, the 2024 season saw Ryan sidelined, awaiting the next turn in his baseball odyssey. However, the dawn of January brought a silver lining as the Angels welcomed Ryan into their ranks, promptly assigning him to the High-A Tri-City Dust Devils. -Madison
