Ken Rosenthal announces great update regarding negotiations between Max Fried and the Blue Jays

In a recent report by MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, the Blue Jays were listed as one of the top 3 teams to have a chance at landing Fried in free agency alongside the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.

Fried is arguably the top left handed pitcher on the free agent market and is among the top two pitchers left on the table along with right handed pitcher Corbin Burnes who the Blue Jays have also been linked to.
Fried, the top remaining left-handed starter on the free-agent market, is expected to choose his next team by Thursday, according to major-league sources briefed on the negotiations.-Rosenthal

Rosenthal expects Fried to land a sizeable deal this winter on a five to six year term and should float over $150 million especially after Blake Snell landed a five year $182 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fried, a two-time All-Star, three-time Gold Glove Award winner and 2021 World Series champion with the Atlanta Braves, is expected to command a deal of five to six years. At 30, he is slightly more than a year younger than left-hander Blake Snell, who recently agreed to a five-year, $182 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. -Rosenthal

If the Blue Jays are able to land Fried, they rotation will make an incredible jump from the bottom of the rankings to the top 10.
