Former Toronto Blue Jays Spencer Horwitz has once again been traded which is the second time in less than 24 hours, this time to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Guardians acquired Horwitz late last night as part of the trade that sent second baseman Andres Gimenez to the Blue Jays but it looks like the Guardians had other plans for Horwitz.
A few hours later, the Guardians traded Horwitz to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for Luis Ortiz, Michael Kennedy and Josh Hartie as his time in Cleveland lasted less than 24 hours.
We have acquired 1B Spencer Horwitz from the Guardians in exchange for RHP Luis Ortiz, LHP Michael Kennedy and LHP Josh Hartle.

According to reports, the Guardians had the move with the Pirates already set up as they acquired Horwitz which is why he was moved so quickly, according to insider Ben Nicholson-Smith.
Some people at the Winter Meetings wonder if there might be a third team involved trying to acquire Spencer Horwitz. One source wondered about the Pirates.

Pirates get: Horwitz
Guardians get: Luis Ortiz, Josh Hartle, Michael Kennedy, Nick Mitchell
Blue Jay fans are upset to see Horwitz go but he is going to a team in the Pirates that have some great young talent and he will be able to grow with them.
