There is no surprise that Parker was one of the first members to be announced as he had an unbelievable career filled with achievements including 2 World Series wins, a seven time all-star and a National League MVP award.
Parker, a rifle-armed right-fielder who won two World Series rings, was a seven-time All-Star and National League MVP who won consecutive batting titles in 1977-78. He also won three Gold Gloves for defensive excellence. -Schlossberg
Parker was only in Toronto for the final year of his career when the Angeles decided to release him in which the Toronto Blue Jays decided to claim him off waivers but did not get much use out of him since he did not play in enough game during the season to be allowed to play in the playoffs.
The former legend ended up calling it a career after that 1991 season after spending 18 years in the MLB but could have walked away with another World Series ring if he stuck around Toronto for one more year.
