According to MLB insider Jeff Passan, Soto's new contract will not include any deferred money but could reach $800 million with bonuses that have yet to be announced.
Juan Soto's 15-year, $765 million deal with the New York Mets includes no deferred money, according to sources, and has escalators that can reach above $800 million.

Blue Jays fans will have to deal with the front office focusing on another superstar that they missed out on while also letting go of multiple top free agent targets during that time.
Ross Atkins will have to get back to work quickly if he does not want to miss out on too many more signings this winter.
