Information was leaked yesterday regarding the Mets first offer to Juan Soto by Carlos Mendoza's son on social media claiming the team made him a 15 year $700 million offer.

According to MLB insider Mike Rodriguez, the Mets have now made a second offer to Juan Soto which is $730 million over 15 years which as of this afternoon is currently the highest offer on the board.

MLB insider Jeff Passan has also stated that the final number to land Soto might end up actually hitting the $750 million mark which would surpass Shohei Ohtani's contract by $50 million.

Fans online were quick to point out that this is way too much money for any player and that even though Soto is an incredible player, he is not worth $750 million over 15 years.
