News just broke that the New York Mets have now raised their offer from Juan Soto from $700 million to $730 million which is now the highest offer on the table.

Information was leaked yesterday regarding the Mets first offer to Juan Soto by Carlos Mendoza's son on social media claiming the team made him a 15 year $700 million offer.

The Mets have raised their offer for free agent Juan Soto

According to MLB insider Mike Rodriguez, the Mets have now made a second offer to Juan Soto which is $730 million over 15 years which as of this afternoon is currently the highest offer on the board.
According to a very close source, the #Mets have offered a deal worth over $730M for the next 15 years to #JuanSoto, and so far it is the highest offer from any team right now at 12:20 PM
MLB insider Jeff Passan has also stated that the final number to land Soto might end up actually hitting the $750 million mark which would surpass Shohei Ohtani's contract by $50 million.
There's a possibility that Juan Soto's next contract could end up in the $750M range over 15 years, per

Fans online were quick to point out that this is way too much money for any player and that even though Soto is an incredible player, he is not worth $750 million over 15 years.
There is not one bat in human history that's worth 750M
It will be interesting to see where the negotiations end up as Soto is believed to be making a decision by mid next week.
