The Toronto Blue Jays got some great news today as it looks like outfielder Daulton Varsho is ahead of schedule when it comes to his recovery.
Varsho has been recovering from surgery since the end of last season and despite the team believing that he will miss a good part of the start of the 2025 season, it looks like he might be ready before then.
Daulton Varsho might end up being ready sooner than expected according to MLB insider Keegan Matheson
The Blue Jays have been looking at different option in centerfield for the start of the season because they are planning on not having Varsho ready but that might not end up being the case.
MLB insider Keegan Matheson was on the MLB Network this morning and stated that he is further along in his recovery than most thought he would be as he will start facing live pitches soon.

This is great news for the Blue Jays since they might be able to start the season will their full roster apart from Alek Manoah who is still recovering from Tommy John surgery.
The Blue Jays do have some solid options if Varsho does end up being out for the start of the season as Joey Loperfido will likely take his place but fans are hoping Varsho will be ready.
Daulton Varsho progresse rapidement
The good news is that Varsho still has over a month before Opening Day to continue to recover before a decision needs to be made since their first game of the season is on March 27th against the Baltimore Orioles.
