It was revealed today that the Pittsburgh Pirates have re-signed former Blue Jays left-handed pitcher Ryan Borucki to a minor league deal that is worth $1.15 million.
Pirates, Ryan Borucki Agree To Minor League Deal
This will be his third season with the Pirates as he had signed another minor league deal back in the 2023.
Borucki had strong first season with the Pirates
Borucki was excellent during his first season as a Pirate, logging 40 1/3 innings from the point of his original call to the majors that season and turning in a sharp 2.45 ERA with a 21.7% strikeout rate against a superlative 2.6% walk rate. He kept the ball on the ground at a better-than-average 45.9% clip, only allowed 0.89 HR/9 and was effective against both lefties (.149/.230/.254) and righties (.213/.224/.373).» - Steve Adams MLB traderumors

This is the second former Blue Jays pitcher that the pirates have signed as Monday revealed the pirates had signed former Blue Jays pitcher Tim Mayza for 1.15 million as well.
He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays back in 2012, in the 15th round 475th overall. He played four years with the Blue Jays up until 2022 where he was sent to the Seattle Mariners. His two seasons in Pittsburgh have been opposites as his numbers were lopsided both ways.
Last season, he won no games and had an ERA of 7.36 through 11 innings pitched with a WHIP of 1.64.
Borucki looking for redemption after dreadful 2024
Borucki, 30, will be looking to bounce back from an injury-plagued 2024 season in what will be his third year in the Pirates organization. He was sidelined for most of last season with forearm issues, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) over 11 innings with the Pirates. Michael Fisher Jays Journal
Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are continuing their search for pitching help as the team is looking at starting pitching and relief as well.
After the signing of Anthony Santander, the Jays have gone quiet as general manager Ross Atkins had said in a recent press conference that the Blue Jays are working night and day to try to acquire more talent to strengthen the current roster.
