Former Toronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen has been exposing Toronto's front office so far this Spring as he continues to play great and show just how big of a mistake it was to let him go.
The Blue Jays traded Jansen away at last year's trade deadline to the Boston Red Sox because they were unwilling to offer him a contract extension which upset fans since he has beloved in Toronto and not re-signing him did not make much sense.

Jansen ended up entering free agency this off-season and many fans were hoping that he would return to Toronto since they did not have a solid catcher duo but he ended signing a one year deal with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Jansen wasn't in Boston for long, as he left as a free agent at the end of the season and found a new home with the Tampa Bay Rays on a one-year deal with a mutual option for the 2026 season. -Eng
The Blue Jays former catcher has been proving in Spring Training just how big of a mistake Toronto made by letting him go as he has been dominant at the plate for the Rays with a .300 batting average and 1.062 OPS.
He's gotten off to a great start this spring, as he's hit a solid .300 with a 1.062 OPS, one run scored, one home run, three RBI, three walks with just one strikeout in 13 plate appearances over five games played. -Eng
Ross Atkins and the Blue Jays front office have made a ton of bad move throughout the years and this off-season as well but letting go of Jansen might end up being one of their biggest mistake.
Jansen will likely feel like the one who got away considering the strong tandem he formed with Alejandro Kirk behind the plate. -Eng
If the Blue Jays end up having Alejandro Kirk go down with an injury this season, they will be in some serious trouble which will prove this point even more since they do not have a legitimate second catcher behind Kirk.
