The Toronto Blue Jays need to make some serious moves this off-season as they look to drastically improve their team over the winter which includes trading away Bo Bichette, George Springer and Ricky Tiedemann.

While none of these players a necessarily bad, they clearly are just not the right fit in Toronto as things have yet to work out in the Blue Jays favor with them in the organization and might be better for both parties to move on.

The Blue Jays should look at trading Bo Bichette, George Springer and Ricky Tiedemann this off-season

The first player that seems like a no brainer to trade is prospect Ricky Tiedemann who just had Tommy John surgery and in terms of the Blue Jays current arms plus the fact that they want to get a starting pitcher in free agency, Tiedemann will not be able to crack the roster. The smart decision would be to trade him for a piece that can help them win now.
Toronto has a few MLB arms in Kevin Gausman, Jose Berrios and Chris Bassitt. Bowden Francis also broke out at the end of last year. They also have a few top prospects who are pitchers, including 2024 trade acquisition Jake Bloss. Toronto will have the ability to sign another free-agent arm in the offseason. All of this points to players that will be above Tiedemann on the MLB depth chart, meaning the Blue Jays could use his value to acquire an even better starter or a great bat this Winter. -Pressnell

The toughest player to move out of these three will no doubt be George Springer who simply is not the player he once was and is on a massive contract. The main idea behind trading Springer would be to make some payroll space even though they will likely have to hold on to some of his salary.
Best case scenario, the Blue Jays can find somebody that's willing to take a chunk of his contract. This would free up a bit of cap and a spot to slot in a better outfielder that can help the Blue Jays make the World Series push that they're looking for. -Pressnell

Finally the Blue Jay that will bring back the biggest return is Bichette even though his stock has dipped over the last year, he should bring them back a decent return. they need to move Bichette not because he is a bad player but because he just does not seem to be a right fit in Toronto.
Bichette is still young and packs a ton of talent, so his value in a trade would be higher than his play was last year, especially with how many teams are going to be looking for a shortstop this Winter. -Pressnell
