The Toronto Blue Jays announced their totals in regards to attendance from the 2024 season and it is trending in a terrible direction which comes as no surprise after the last two seasons they have had.
After a tough season overall, it is no surprise that the Blue Jays attendance suffered this year as many fans saw avoiding games as the only way to show ownership that they are upset with what the front office has been doing.
The Toronto Blue Jays attendance number during the 2024 season took a hit
The Blue Jays had a total of 2.6 million fans show up to their games at the Rogers Centre this season which gave an average of 33,102 fans per game which put them 3rd in terms of attendance across the American League but that is not where the issue lies. This number was an 11.8% drop off from the previous season that had 3.02 million fans at the games during the 2023 season.
Do you think the Blue Jays attendance numbers could get even worse?

According to baseball reference, the Toronto Blue Jays saw an attendance drop of 11.8% from 2023 to 2024.
What's surprising is that is still their 2nd highest attendance recorded since 2017
While the fans attendance numbers are surprisingly their second highest since 2017 which is the season legend Jose Bautista retired, they are trending downwards and if the front office does not make some big moves this off-season, there will likely be another drop off next season.
Hopefully Atkins makes a big splash in free agency and bring interest back for fans as another season like 2024 will not sit well with the fans.
