The Blue Jays seem to have the highest offer on the board for free agent Corbin Burnes
According to the MLB Network, the Blue Jays and San Francisco Giants are the two favorites to land Burnes with the Giants possibly having a slight upper hand since Burnes is from the Bay Area.

Despite Burnes seeing the Giants as his number one offer, the Blue Jays still have the top offer on the board according to reports which apparently exceeds $250 million but the term has yet to be confirmed.
The #Giants have yet to meet his ask, knowing it's his top destination. #BlueJays still have the top offer out there for Burnes which I'm told exceeds 250+ million. Burnes just isn't sold at the moment on there future. Something will have to give. Nothing imminent #MoccBomb
The Blue Jays desperately need a starting pitcher and if they are able to land Burnes, their rotation might be one of the best in the American League but without him they will be near the bottom once again.
While $250 million is a ton of money,
Burnes is worth every penny as he could singlehandedly turn the Blue Jays rotation around and will give them a serious chance at winning every game he pitches.
If Ross Atkins was willing to offer Juan Soto $760 million over 15 years, he should be willing to pay Burnes less than half of that for a player that will impact the team just as much.
Many insiders believe that Burnes will be making his final decision in the coming days.
