A recent trade proposal was made between the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox for Vladimir Guerrero Jr could be a possibility this off-season.

Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins has mentioned that they are very motivated to get a contract extension done with Guerrero but some believe that he is not worth his projections which are over $460 million since Juan Soto signed with the Mets.

MLB insider believes that the Blue Jays could look at a trade with the Red Sox involving Vladimir Guerrero Jr

MLB insider Cody Williams believed that the Blue Jays should look to move Guerrero to the Red Sox in a blockbuster trade as they should look at starting a rebuild since they missed out on Soto.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be a free agent after the season and could walk if the Blue Jays are not competitive enough to win the World Series. Missing out on Soto does not help their case even though they traded for Andrés Giménez. FanSided's Cody Williams urged the team to trade Guerrero now to help kickstart their rebuild, and that they could deal him to the Boston Red Sox. -Mohammed

Williams believes that Sportac's projections for Guerrero of $462 million over 12 years is not worth it and with the risk of possibly losing him altogether in free agency next season, they are better off making a trade now while his stock is high.
Trading Guerrero will be a big blow, but losing him for no return will be worse. The Blue Jays can afford to keep him, but missing out on Soto makes it tougher to convince him to stay. Spotrac projects him to sign a 12-year, $462 million deal in the offseason. But why trade him to a division rival? -Mohammed

If Williams is right, he believes that the Blue Jays could get Wilyer Abreu and Raphael Devers in return for Guerrero which would be absolutely incredible and could turn around the team completely.
Williams also noted that the Blue Jays could get Wilyer Abreu who won a Gold Glove in 2024, his first full year in the big leagues. Devers and Abreu would be good immediate return in a trade for Guerrero. Devers is a three-time All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger. -Mohammed

While the majority of the fan base would be very mad if the Blue Jays do no keep Guerrero, they will likely get over it with a return involving Abreu and Devers.
Regardless on if the Blue Jays move Guerrero or not, they need to make a massive move that shakes things up if they want to return to the top of the AL East.
