Incredible update as the Toronto Blue Jays are actually closing in on signing free agent Roki Sasaki

The Blue Jays are still looking for a solid starting pitcher to add to their rotation and despite being interested in free agents such as Jack Flaherty and Jose Quintana, they seem to be all in on trying to land Sasaki.

Japanese pitcher Roki Sasaki is one of the best players available this winter after he announced a few months ago that he would be coming over from the NPB to the MLB this off-season.

According to reprots that came out this afternoon, multiple teams have been told by Sasaki's team that he is no longer interested in them but the Blue Jays along with the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres are the final teams he will pick from.

Sasaki's team has reportedly informed the San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and New York Mets have been informed that he is no longer interested in signing with them.

Now the Blue Jays remain in the running's to land the superstar pitcher even though most believe that he will end up joining Shohei Ohtani with the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

Blue Jays fans are already extremely excited in the possibility of landing Sasaki as it is starting to look like they have a real chance.

The good part of all of this is that Sasaki have mentioned that he would like to start his MLB career in a smaller organization which gives the Blue Jays a chance against the Dodgers who are one of the biggest franchises in the MLB.

Hopefully Ross Atkins can figure out a way to get a deal done as it would completely turn the Blue Jays off-season around.
