The Toronto Blue Jays have been looking at all options when it comes to Bo Bichette's future and it looks like trading him might be in the cards.
Bichette in a recent interview made it clear that the Blue Jays had yet to reach out regarding a contract extension as he is in the final year of his contract and will be a free agent next winter.
The Milwaukee Brewers seem to be very interested in trading for Blue Jays Bo Bichette
The Brewers lost their all-star shortstop Willy Adames this off-season as he signed with a massive deal with the San Francisco Giants which is why they are now looking for a replacement.
Bichette could be a perfect option for the Brewers as they look to hold onto the NL Central division and since the Blue Jays do not seem interested in signing him, this move could make a ton of sense.
The Brewers could be in the market to replace Willy Adames with a star. Adding Bichette would help the Brewers maintain control in the National League Central. -Pressnell
According to reports, the Brewers would not be the only team interested in Bichette as the Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves are also looking to improve their team at the shortstop position.
Zachary Rymer of Bleacher Report recently linked the Atlanta Braves, Detroit Tigers, and Milwaukee Brewers to a potential blockbuster trade for Bichette. -Pressnell
However, the Blue Jays are in a tough spot with Bichette since if they trade him right now they will likely get less in return after the season he had in 2024 but if they wait until the trade deadline, they would also get less even if his game improves since he would only be a rental for the team acquiring him.
If Bichette can bounce back from a down year this season, he will be quite a hot commodity on the trade market. His talent is undeniable. If you pair that with the Blue Jays falling out of contention before the deadline, Bichette will almost certainly land on the trade block. -Pressnell
It will be interesting to see what ends up happening with Bichette in the coming months.
