Hurricane Milton left a path of destruction all over the state of Florida over the past few days including destroying the Tampa Bay Rays Tropicana Field but the Toronto Blue Jays training facility in nearby Dunedin seems to have no real damage.
Milton really but a serious beating on the Rays home stadium as the entire roof was ripped to shreds forcing those seeking shelter in the stadium to move but fortunately no one was injured.
Now that the sun is up, here's a 360-degree view of the damage Hurricane Milton caused to Tropicana Field's roof and the inside of the ballpark. Absolutely heartbreaking
The Blue Jays stadium in Dunedin seem to have better luck when it came to the hurricane as it did not receive any major damages and was useful it terms of keeping those near by sheltered from Milton.
Blue Jays' player development complex is not far away but as of now Jays don't believe there's major damage to the PDC. Per team, focus is on making sure Jays people are safe & supported as Hurricane Milton develops.
The Blue Jays recently invested around $100 million into their Spring Training complex and made sure to make it as hurricane proof as they can when remodeling as they made sure it was elevated and the entire area was secure while being able to withstand severe storms such as this one.
This is not only great for the Blue Jays but it also great for the community in Dunedin that we be able to benefit from this great shelter for years to come when other Hurricanes hit the coast of Florida.
