The Blue Jays traded catcher Danny Jansen to the Red Sox but according to this unusual MLB rule, he might actually play another game with the Jays this season.

The Red Sox and Blue Jays will be resuming a game that was suspended at the end of August in which Jansen was at the plate with an 0-1 count. This could be the first time a player would play for both teams in the same game.
So there is a lot at play. Jansen is the batter that is at the plate when the

game resumes, and he had an 0-1 count. Since the pinch hitter doesn't inherit a 2-strike count, all action will be charged to the pinch hitter.

However, to make room for Jansen, the Red Sox DFA'ed Reese McGuire, who was the starting catcher in the suspended game, meaning there is a high probability that Jansen will come in to catch. (1/3)
That would not only make him the first player to ever play for both teams in the same game, but if he enters at catcher for the restart, will have both batted and caught in the same at bat.

I believe the last professional player to play for both teams in the same game was Dale Holman, who didn't in Triple-A in the 1986 season. (2/3)
This is a strange situation all around but fans will be happy to at least see their beloved former catcher in a Blue Jays uniform one last time.
