Blue Jays announce surprising new signing

Carson Messina was committed to play at USC next season but has now changed his mind and will be turning pro instead as he will sign a contract with the Blue Jays.

The young pitcher has yet to announce the reasoning behind his decision since it is an odd move for such a late pick. Messina will likely be joining the organization shortly since his high school season is over.

It will be interesting to see how Messina ends up pitching at the pro level since he seems to be an extremely solid pitcher but is still very young which is why there is a lot of doubt surrounding the move.
