The Blue Jays Spring Training in Dunedin complex is only 30 minutes outside of Tampa, Florida which is why this is the number one place for the Rays to play out of for the 2025 season.
According to a report from Jesse Rogers of ESPN, the Toronto Blue Jays' minor league complex in Dunedin, Fla. is reportedly a candidate to house the Tampa Bay Rays home ballpark in 2025.-Farkas
The Rays are not interested in repairing their roof at Tropicana Field which would cost over $100 million since they plan on moving to a different stadium within the next 3 years which is why repairing the roof does not make any sense.
The complex is Dunedin recently underwent $100 million renovations which would make it one of the best complexes in baseball which is why it makes the most sense for the Rays to play out of, let alone the fact that it is the closest to Tampa.
After two years and nearly $100 million, Toronto unveiled its brand-new player development complex on Thursday, a transition from a subpar facility to what president and CEO Mark Shapiro called «the best complex in all of Major League Baseball» in October. During the Blue Jays' virtual unveiling, Shapiro lauded it as a facility «that can help directly contribute to bringing World Series championships back to Canada.»
