The Toronto Blue Jays seem to have a ton of issues to deal with this off-season but one of the biggest is dealing with the abundance of infield players they currently have.

The Blue Jays have a ton of infielders heading into the 2025 season to the point where they will need to move a few to make room for other players plus trading some of these players could help them bring in pieces that they could have more use for.

Currentlly the Blue Jays have Addison Barger, Bo Bichette, Ernie Clement, Luis De Los Santos, Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Spencer Horwitz, Leo Jimenez, Orelvis Martinez, Davis Schneider and Will Wagner all set to return next season.

Not all of these players will be able to make the roster out of spring training. Some won't need to compete, but there are quite a few of them who don't have guaranteed roles heading into spring of 2025. -Treuden

Out of all these players, there is only really three locks which would be Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette and Ernie Clement, Bichette is only considered a lock if the Blue Jays do not end up trading him.
Spencer Horwitz is another one that has a shaky future with the team since they he has proven he is too good for Triple-A but with Guerrero being their main first baseman and Horwitz unable to play second, the Blue Jays might end up having to trade him.
Schneider, Martinez, De Los Santos, Barger and Jimenez all could possibly have a chance at making the team next season but they will need to prove their worth in Spring training if not they will end up in Triple-A or traded for a player that can impact the team right away.
