At 33-years-old, Trevor Bauerhas never pitched better in his career. Now that there are no more cases against him, no team in the MLB will give him a shot for some reason.
Since leaving the MLB, he has pretty unbelievable in 36 games across 3 leagues.
In 24 games in Japan last season, Bauer locked 156.2 IP, had 60 strikeouts and a 2.59 ERA.
This season it has even been more impressive. Currently he it pitching for Diablos Rojos del México where he has started 10 games with 60.2 IP, 83 K, and 1.48 ERA.
🇯🇵 24 G, 156.2 IP, 160 K, 2.59 ERA 🇺🇲 2 G, 6.0 IP, 7 K, 0.00 ERA 🇲🇽 10 G, 60.2 IP, 83 K, 1.48 ERA
There is no more suspension or restrictions against Bauer returning to the MLB, but not a single team is willing to give him a job even though he is willing to play for the league minimum...
The Blue Jays should give him a shot, there is no reason or risk having him prove himself, there is only a large upside.
