Blue Jays looking to possibly move Bo Bichette from shortstop and bring in Andres Gimenez
The Blue Jays drastically improved their infield this off-season by acquiring Andres Gimenez from the Cleveland Guardians which will be incredible for their defensive game this season.
The Toronto Blue Jays took a considerable step towards solidifying the future of second base this offseason by trading for Andrés Giménez from the Cleveland Guardians. -Wallace
Many believe that the Blue Jays will look to move Gimenez to shortstop if the team is unable to sign Bichette to a contract extension since he has experience at shortstop and is incredible defensively.
Giménez has experience playing both second base and shortstop, but has played exclusively at second base for the last two seasons. Still, that hasn't stopped some from theorizing that Toronto's front office will move Giménez to short after this season and insert an MLB-ready prospect at second. -Wallace
Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter's recently stated that he could see Gimenez and Bichette swapping positions which would make a lot of sense since Gimenez is much better defensively then Bichette is.

Many fans agree that the Blue Jays should keep Bichette but would be better off moving him over to second base instead of keeping him at shortstop.
Followers of the Blue Jays have been saying for years that Bichette would be better suited on the right side of second base instead of the left. -Wallace
This situation seems like the right move if the Blue Jays plan on putting the best team possible on the field but that does not mean that it will necessarily happen.
