It is no surprise that the Toronto Blue Jays had a disappointing season with the high expectation entering 2024, but with that, comes a good a chance at getting the first overall pick, and now, they have officially clinched great odds to get it.

With the one game remaining in the season when they finish off the 3 games series against the Miami Marlins, The Blue Jays lost big today 8-1, and with that loss, they now have clinched the 5th best odds in the entire MLB to get the number one pick
in the 2025 MLB draft.
With this loss, the Blue Jays have officially clinched the 5th best odds at the 1st overall pick in 2025
The projected 1st overall pick in the upcoming draft comes out of Texas A&M, Jace Laviolette is a 6-foot-6 230 LBS outfielder who has some of the moust highly anticipated power hitter in years. He hit 50 home runs in his college career and will most liekly join the ranks of legendary power hitters in the NCAA such as Eddy Furniss and Frank Fazzini.
It's a controlled, violent, left-handed swing with a ton of bat speed and an optimal bat path for doing damage, as he's a legitimate all-fields power threat and has cleared the 115 MPH exit velocity threshold in 2024.

This would be a massive draft for the Blue Jays as they do not have to most solidifided outfieders that can rotate in and out, but he is touted to be an elite player with only huge upside.
