Former Toronto Blue Jay legend Edwin Encarnacion recently spoke with Sportsnet's Shi Davidi about Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero as he tries to hit the 200 hit club on the season.

Encarnacion was an incredible hitter back in hi day driving in 110 runs for the Blue Jays back in 2012 meaning that he knows when he sees a good hitter and can tell that Guerrero is exactly that.
As Guerrero tries to hit the 200 hit mark on the season in the final series of the season against the Miami Marlins, Encarnacion thinks it is quite impressive for the Blue Jays first baseman to have 30 home runs on the season and likely will surpass the 200 hit mark too.
«Hey, you can see in the game, you count with one hand how many guys do that,» said Encarnacion, one of the club's special assistants who's worked with Guerrero throughout the season. «What he's been doing is impressive. I look in the mirror when I used to play, I know I got 100 RBIs, 30 homers, but 200 hits, too? Oh man, that's crazy. It's something the fans have to enjoy. The team, we're very happy with where we are with Vladdy. He's an unbelievable player, an unbelievable hitter.»

If Guerrero is able to get 200 hits on the season, it will prove to management that he is worth a major contract and should be kept in Toronto for his entire career, just the way he wants things to be.
Hopefully the Blue Jays front office do the right thing and offer Guerrero an incredible extension, if not they will force him to walk away.
