The Toronto Blue Jays could possibly looking into a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers for pitcher Devin Williams who is headed into the last year of his contract.

The Blue Jays have been crystal clear that there main concern this off-season is improving their bullpen as they had the worst one in the entire American League during the 2024 season.

The Blue Jays eyeing a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers for pitcher Devin Williams

Brewers pitcher Devin Williams is headed into his last year of arbitration and after the team declined his club option, Williams has now become one of the top trade candidates for the off-season.
An obvious elite option has become available with which the Jays can start their bullpen rebuild. According to Jeff Passan, the Milwaukee Brewers declined the club option for star closer Devin Williams. Williams will remain with the Brewers in his final year of arbitration and all of a sudden becomes a prime trade candidate as well. -Eng

The Blue Jays need to desperately find some replacements for their bullpen and not just average pitchers since they will end up in the same spot as last season, they need to go after solid bullpen pitchers like Williams if they want to see a difference.
Therefore, with a no-brainer option in Williams that could now be had at the right price, it just makes too much sense for the Jays to pursue. For one, it would provide big-time insurance in the event Romano cannot regain his form. -Eng

Williams missed the first half of the season with the Brewers but was incredible when he returned posting a 1.25 ERA in 22 appearances while striking out 38 batters which proves just how dominant he was.
Williams put that to rest by posting a 1.25 ERA and 0.97 WHIP, yielding just three earned runs with 38 strikeouts in just 21 2/3 innings of work over 22 appearances. -Eng

Clearly if the Blue Jays are looking to have a solid bullpen this season, they should be calling the Brewers and making an offer.
