The Blue Jays have released pitcher Emmanuel Ramirez
This move was made to make room for the Blue Jays newest pitcher, Michael Peterson, who was actually taken off waivers by the Blue Jays from the Miami Marlins as well.
Ramirez only spent a brief time north of the border, getting claimed off waivers from the Miami Marlins back on Sept. 5. Two months later, Ramirez was designated for assignment in order to make room for right-handed pitcher Michael Petersen, who was also picked up off waivers from the Marlins. -Connon
In Toronto, Ramirez never got called up to the majors spending his entire time with the Blue Jays organization in Triple-A and clearly was unable to prove his worth which resulted in him being released.
