Things are looking very bad for Toronto Blue Jays infielder Davis Schneider

The Toronto Blue Jays are still uncertain where Davis Schneider will end up for the start of the 2025 season and projections actually have him doing worse than last year.
As the lineup currently sits, the Blue Jays do not really have a spot of Schneider with the addition as he currently sits behind Andres Gimenez for the second base spot and behind quite a few players for the left field spot.

Fans in Toronto love Schneider for the person he is off the field but unfortunately on the field, he struggled last season and projections have him doing even worse this year if he ends up staying in the majors.
So until Schneider finds a way to adjust his hitting mechanics to effectively combat major league pitching, we could be expecting more of the same from him going forward. -Eng
Schneider had an incredible start to his season last year with 7 homeruns and 29 RBIs in the first two months but everything fell apart from there as he finished with a .159 batting average in his last 86 games.
At first he started the the year out strong with with seven home runs and 29 RBI over the first two months of the season, which led to him getting some looks at leadoff.
Unfortunately, things went south after that. From June onwards, Schneider compiled an abysmal .159 average and .499 OPS across his final 86 games, which led to him losing some playing time as the season went on. -Eng

The tough part for Schneider is even if he ends up doing well in Spring Training it will tough for the Blue Jays to find him a spot in the lineup as they are pretty much locked in for all of their positions.
Schneider could start the 2025 season in the minors or the Blue Jays could look to trade him since they currently have an abundance of infielders and could possibly get a decent return for Schneider.
