The Toronto Blue Jays are set to kick off their season on March 27th against the Baltimore Orioles and will a special ceremony prior to the start of the game.
The
Blue Jays always do something special for the first game of the season at the Rogers Centre for the first game of the season played in Toronto which this year, for the first time in a while, is one Opening Day.
Blue Jays announce special ceremony for Opening Day game against the Orioles
The Blue Jays will be hosting the Baltimore Orioles for Opening Day on March 27th at the Rogers Centre and have apparently planned a special moment for all the fans for the first game.
Blue Jays reporter Hazel Mae stated that the team is encouraging fans to arrive early to the game to watch a ceremony which will involve 225 Canadian soldiers who will carry a giant Canadian flag while the national anthem will be sang by the Toronto Production on Disney's the Lion King.

Gates open at 1p Thursday.
Mae also stated to a fan that the entire ceremony will also be televised on Sportsnet for
Blue Jays that will not be attending the game but that will be watching at home.
Fans are very excited for the start of the season on Thursday but are upset that the second game of the season on Friday will only be televised on Apple TV which takes a subscription to watch unfortunately.
Either way everyone from the fans to the players are excited to finally have baseball back in Toronto.
