The Toronto Blue Jays are apparently looking to trade Kevin Gausman after latest update

The Toronto Blue Jays had quite the let down this off-season after missing out on a ton of free agents which is why they are looking at different options to improve the team such as trading Kevin Gausman.
Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins made it clear a few weeks ago that they are always looking at moves to make their team better which is why trading Gausman could be in the cards.

Gausman is coming off his worst season in Toronto as he struggled out of the gate due to an injury as he finished with a 3.83 ERA and as he is now in the last two years of his contract and 34 years old, they might look to move him.
According to reports, the Blue Jays might look to move him prior to the trade deadline especially if he ends up having a solid season as he could bring them back a massive return.
Gausman is the type of pitcher who gets the ball every fifth day with the intention of lasting as long as he can, and he, like Bassitt, would be a welcome addition in most rotations.

However, the Blue Jays would only trade Gausman if they get an incredible return back since losing him would be a massive blow to the starting rotation and they would need to get something equally as good coming back to Toronto.
Not having Gausman in the rotation would be a major blow to the Blue Jays. He's recorded 31 starts in each of his three seasons with Toronto, and has also finished each season with an ERA under four, which is one of the biggest reasons why the two-time All-Star could draw some interest from teams. -Ferraro
Fans in Toronto would hate to see Gausman go but at the same time if the right offer is made and it would be to improve the team they would likely have no problem with it being done.
