Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Jose Berrios made some interesting comments regarding the team's toxic clubhouse from last season which has apparently changed this year.
The Blue Jays are coming off a disaster of a year last season which is why it is no surprise that the team had problems in the locker room with the coaches accoridng to
Berrios.
Blue Jays pitcher Jose Berrios states the team had some serious issues in the clubhouse last season
During an interview today with MLB insider Keegan Matheson, Berrios stated that the Blue Jays had some clubhouse issues between the players and coaches which is why they were not confident on the field.
According to
Berrios these issues have since been addressed which is why Berrios seems confident that these are problems of the past and that the Blue Jays will not deal with the same thing this season.
José Berrios on the #BlueJays clubhouse, which teammates have said is better in 2025
«Last year, we had a few things that didn't let us be out there with confidence and happy. We have already worked on that and talked about that. Our relationship with the coaches is better.»
Berrios did not go into specifics regarding which players and coaches were involved but there is also a good chance that those coaches are no longer with the team since there was such a big turn over during the off-season.
If the Blue Jays want to do as well as they are all hoping for, it is certain that they need to have a healthy and happy clubhouse environment where everyone is glad to come to the ballpark.
Hoepfully Berrios is right and that all these issues are now behind them because they cannot afford to have some same problems this season if they want to be a top team in the American League.
