The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking for a solution to help with their outfielder problems and it looks like they might have found the solution in prospect Alan Roden.

The Blue Jays seem to be very interested in bringing in free agent Anthony Santander and despite him being an outfielder as well, he might end up in a DH role next season if Roden makes the team.

The Blue Jays need help in the outfield as they only have George Springer and Daulton Varsho as locks for the moment but they also need some help on offense.
According to reports, the Blue Jays could have Roden on their opening day roster as he could pop into the empty outfielder spot and has shown that he is an incredible hitter last season in Triple-A.
Fortunately for the team, Alan Roden, a corner outfielder, is one of their top 15 prospects who is closest to a big league promotion. -Fitzpatrick

Last season, Roden only played 71 games in Triple-A as he started the season in Double-A but in that short amount of time hit 9 homeruns and 48 RBIs with a .314 batting average.
With the Bisons, his OPS shot up over 100 points to a monstrous .916, all while he hit over .300 through 71 games. He also added nine home runs and 48 RBIs and posted a .510 SLG - the first time he has posted above the .500 mark in that category. Roden walked 35 times compared to 41 strikeouts and also added eight stolen bases. -Fitzpatrick

This could end up being a great move for the Blue Jays who would be plugging two holes with one player if they have Roden on their team next season.
Even if they end up signing another outfielder like Santander, the Blue Jays will be without Daulton Varsho to start the season so they can use all the help they can get.
Roden has proven that he is ready for the big leagues, now it is just a matter of seeing if his game will translate to the majors.
