The Toronto Blue Jays have announced that they have agreed to terms with free agent pitcher and legend Max Scherzer.

News came out last week that Scherzer was looking to play for a winner this season and was waiting on Pete Alonso to sign before committing to the Blue Jays but it looks like he changed his mind.

MLB insider Jon Heyman broke the news moments ago that the Blue Jays have agreed to a deal with Scherzer but the official signing is pending a physical which should take place soon.

Jeff Passan announced that the deal will be a one year contract worth $15.5 million which is $500,000 over their original offer to Scherzer of $15 million that was made last week.

Scherzer deal: $15.5M
Many believe that this was a great deal by the Blue Jays for the number they signed him for especially if Scherzer is able to stay healthy which hopefully will not end up being an issue.
