The Toronto Blue Jays organization have been working diligently over the last two weeks trying to save their offseason and have been somewhat successful as they had just landed Max Scherzer but a new name has surfaced as a potential trade option which would help their offense significantly.
Nolan Arenado would be a great fit at third base for the #BlueJays but his tiny list of approved trade spots may complicate matters.
According to Fansided's Austin Owens He feels the team could make a trade with the St Louis Cardinals to acquire third baseman Nolan Arenado to strengthen their offence and third base.

"Trading for Nolan Arenado could improve the Blue Jays offense tremendously," wrote.
"If Guerrero is staying put, a lineup with Bo Bichette, Anthony Santander, Vladdy, George Springer and Nolan Arenado could suddenly put Toronto in the mix for playoff contention. Austin Owens The Sporting News"
Rumors and reports continued to swirl around the organization that the Blue Jays are trying to acquire other players like Pete Alonso along with third baseman Alex Bregman as the Jays have put down significant offers to both players as they feel they would be extremely helpful.
ESPN recently called for the Cardinals to trade their expensive but productive third baseman, Nolan Arenado, to the #BlueJays this winter. He comes with a long list of career accolades, but is the risk worth it as he continues to age?
In Arenado's case, he gives the Blue Jays cost certainty as he has three years remaining on his deal worth $74 million. There would be another obstacle in terms of his full no trade clause which could be the biggest hurdle for the team to acquire him as he controls his destiny and where he wants to play.
Blue Jays fight uphill battle for free agents
This season along with several others have been a struggle for this management team to lock in big names stars and help improve the team's chances.
Having struck out several times early on this winter, the Blue Jays hope that their recent rash of good news with Anthony Santander and Max Scherzer signing could help their case for other players to come.
