The Toronto Blue Jays are apparently looking to acquire former New York Yankees pitcher Ron Marinaccio who has just been DFA'd bby the Chicago White Sox.

The Blue Jays have made some great additions to their bullpen this off-season as they signed Jeff Hoffman, Yimi Garcia and traded for Nick Sandlin who will all make a big difference next season.

The Blue Jays are interested in former Yankees pitcher Ron Marinaccio who was just DFA'd

The Yankees announced that placed pitcher Ron Marinaccio on waivers in late September and he was claimed by the White Sox who has now DFA'd him to make room on their 40 man roster for Martin Perez.
The White Sox made the signing of Martn Pérez official this week and, in the process, Ron Marinaccio got the boot from the 40-man roster. That comes at a surprise, as Marinaccio has been quite successful at the major league level since debuting in 2022. -Dionis

Marinaccio had a solid season with the Yankees last year even though he only appeared in 16 games, finishing the year with a 3.86 ERA in 23.1 innings pitched with 25 strikeouts.
Marinaccio never pitched with the White Sox, and has only pitched with the Yankees in his major league career. Last season, he appeared in 16 games, posting an earned run average of 3.86 with a FIP of 4.92 across 23.1 innings, striking out 25 batters. Opposing hitters put together an average of .209 against him and he walked batters at a rough 10.1% clip to create a WHIP of 1.20. -Dionis

While other teams have the choice to claim him before the Blue Jays, they can always trade for him if they believe that he will be claimed off waivers by another team.
Pursuing him may not be a terrible idea, as it could improve their overall depth in the bullpen. Other teams get the choice to claim him before Toronto, but they could jump the gun and make a trade for him if they feel like he'll get claimed. -Dionis

This could be a solid addition to the Blue Jays bullpen as it would add depth and Marinaccio is only 29 years old and has shown promise in his short time in the MLB.
