Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer does not hold back on the MLB in recent interview

Multiple Blue Jays player's have recently been on the Foul Territory podcast as pitcher Alek Manoah was also just on discussing his struggles over the past couple seasons.

Scherzer is an MLB legend despite still playing and has never been shy on sharing his opinion on the state of the game as he recently spoke up against the new challenging pitches rule.

During the interview, Scherzer stated that the replay system has brought forth some unintended consequences and it has helped make the right calls but has gone also further than expected.

Scherzer added that it was not the plan to take away neighborhood plays as he calls it but it has unfortunately ended up being that way since officials are able to slow it down so much that they see if a runners foot even comes off the bag by a millimeter.

The reason that many fans believe that all these new rules are taking away from the game is for reasons like this, baseball has always been played with errors in which teams take advantage of but all these new additions make the grey zone very small.

It is normal for games to evolve with the types as all majors sports do but fans and players are worried that too many changes might end up harming the game more than helping it.
