Following the Toronto Blue Jays signing of free agent Anthony Santander, MLB reporter Sid Seixeiro decided to post a message of social media taking a shot at Blue Jays fans.
The Blue Jays recently signed Anthony Santander to a massive five year $92.5 million deal that the majority of the fanbase is ecstatic about but Seixeiro seems to think otherwise.

A few days after the Blue Jays signed Santander, Seixeiro decided to write a post on social media stating that Blue Jays fans should be happy with the signing of Santander as he is a top end player.
Seixeiro continued by saying that the majority of fans have been reacting to the signing with hatred and contempt in which he added that he has never seen a fan base like this before.
The Toronto Blue Jays signed Anthony Santander this week. A player who can legitimately help them. And the majority of Jays supporters reacted with hatred and contempt.

While a solid amount of the fans online seem to have been happy with the signing as Santander brings offense to the lineup and issue the Blue Jays desperately needed to address, other fans confirmed what Seixeiro was saying by stating the Blue Jays need to do more.
They need starting pitching and there's a CY Young caliber pitcher out there you can sign for league minimum. They are not a serious front office.
Anthony Santander is a good signing for the Blue Jays, however, Atkins and Shapiro hasn't fill other positions for upgrades. Alonso, Scherzer, Vladdy Jr long term extension not just the 1-year/$28.5M + fans approval rating which is very low for both Ross Atkins & Mark Shapiro.
While no one believes that Santander will fix all of the Blue Jays problems, signing him was clearly a great move by Toronto.
The one thing that all fans can agree on is that the Blue Jays do need to land a few more players if they plan on being great next season.
