The Toronto Blue Jays are still uncertain on what they will do with Vladimir Guerrero Jr if he does not re-sign and it looks like the New York Mets are getting ready for a massive trade offer.
The Blue Jays have apparently raised their offer for Vladimir Guerrero Jr but have yet to surpass the $400 million mark which is still $50 million away from what Guerrero is looking for.

The Blue Jays will start looking at all possible options involving Guerrerov since they are running out of time to sign him and if he is unwilling to sign with the Blue Jays they will have to trade him since losing him to free agency next year does not make any sense.
According to reports, it looks like the Mets are very interested in trading for Guerrero and MLB reporter Mike Rodriguez announced that they are currently putting a trade package together for him.

While no one wants to see the Blue Jays trade Guerrero, if they cannot agree on a contract extension number they will clearly have no choice.
If Toronto ends up keeping Guerrero for the 2025 season then losing him to free agency next off-season, it will be a much more of a costly mistake then trading him before the season starts.
Ross Atkins needs to simply get a deal done before Spring Training starts but it looks like he is not willing to go up to Guerrero's targeted number.
