The Toronto Blue Jays have been rumored to be all in on signing free agent Pete Alonso and a recent report announced that the offer will be between three to four years.

The Blue Jays just signed Anthony Santander which has greatly improved their offense but it looks like they are still trying to add some hitting which is why Alonso is their top target right now.

The Blue Jays potential offer for Pete Alonso has been announced

According to reports, the Blue Jays are currently in talks with Alonso and could look to offer him a three to four year deal which will likely pay him about $20-$25 million per season.
Been getting lot of questions from #BlueJays fans regarding Alonso, Scherzer and Profar. My sources are telling me #BlueJays main focus is Alonso at this point in time on a 3-4yr deal potentially up to 5 with opt outs. If they were able to get Alonso they'd then look to Scherzer. If they miss on Alonso, the fall back plan is ProfarScherzer they feel would be less inclined to join them if that's the case. Have heard they are in on Nick Pivetta as well. But I believe Alonso and Scherzer end up north of the border at this point in time. #MoccBomb
The Blue Jays are really trying to get a deal done with Alonso as they believe it would pull all-star pitcher Max Scherzer's interest into possibly signing with the team.
If the Blue Jays end up missing out on Alonso despite being the favorites to sign him, they are also looking at possibly signing outfielder Jurickson Profar as a back up option.
The ideal situation would be for the Blue Jays to land Alonso on a three year deal with a team option for a fourth season depending on how he ends up doing in Toronto.
The Blue Jays off-season was quite the disaster for the majority of it but with the Anthony Santander signing, if they are able to land both Alonso and Scherzer, they will have a truly strong team next season.
Hopefully Ross Atkins can make up for prior mistakes and end the off-season on a high note.
